alex bag's video 'untitled fall '95' seemed pretty accurate in a description of a students time in art school. watching it i recognized what she was saying, whether in others or myself--sometimes with a different and more tolerable tone. i felt almost embarrassed with seeing some similarities like traveling before junior year and being really excited to get back and process that only for there to be some form of disappointment.
towards the end of the video when the student was saying that she's still young was a valid point that she seemed to be missing. there is a lot of time to work out the kinks of the work you do starting in your first year and into any type of future as an artist. it is all a learning process.
